I swear I'm going to murder someone today!

[And it sounds like she means it. But for now that's all she says, mostly from how she's come back from a mallynap.

Today there is one Yuffie, hanging by her shirt, crossing her arms to keep her arms pulling her shirt down. As to what she's hanging by, it is of course her shuriken. Another reason why she's not moving, or trying to move too much. The thing could slice right through her shirt. And what is the shuriken hanging from? Well, it's neatly set into a tree, quite high up too.

Now normally, Yuffie would have absolutely no trouble with something like this, but with her problem, she can't even reach for a branch or two to hang on to to see if she could slide away from the sharp object. Even trying with one hand earns no result. Usually she can do lift herself up on one hand easily, but right now, her hand just keeps slipping.

If this keeps up for too long, she'll just wait 'till someone spots her, or it's night time, and will have no problem hiding after slipping from the shuriken.

Either way, this ninja is pissed.

"...That would be fine then."

She doesn't give a damn about a tree.

Elizabeth nods, her eyes twinkle golden in an almost disturbing way as she plucks a glowing card out of the air and a giant black THING that could be half nightmare with a cape made of coffins appears, floats up to Yuffie's face and stares her in the eyes.

"Thanatos, please handle this."

The thing then draws a sword and flies into the sky for a second, before tossing the sword at the top of the tree and bisecting it into two halves centering on the shuriken.

Yuffie watches this all in complete facination. She has a friend that was sleeping in a coffin when they first met. And this is almost like a summon, so Yuffie's anger is almost gone! This is actually quite interesting. And until the shuriken moves, she's just watching.

Humming something that sounds disturbingly like the ferry song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version) Elizabeth calmly walks over and kicks half the tree after the beast vanishes, causing it to fall to the side and hopefully dislodge the star.

"So what in the world was th-"

Nope, there goes the shuriken, with Yuffie in it. It thankfully falls in a way that she can dislodge herself from it, and pull down her shirt to the way it's supposed to be.

Elizabeth peers at Yuffie as she falls and waits for her to land.

"That was Thanatos, we have a working agreement. Are you all right miss? I have never seen a soul that wished to become a butterfly quite like that."

"You're lucky you can do that here. My summons don't work here at all..."

She even wishes her Choco/Mog one worked. It would be entertaining at the very least.

"I'm fine. The stupid malnosso decided that would be funny."

She ponders for a minute and shrugs slightly.

"I do not understand the joke. Stripping one of one's dignity is hardly as amusing as I am told it is, or perhaps I don't understand that part of humor. That and Thanatos is not a summon, he is a persona I wear, I have others, but he so far has been the most useful here."

She tilts her head a bit.

"The Malnosso are the masters of this domain, correct?"

"It's funny to some people, and normally embarrassing to the one it's happening to...but what's a persona?"

It really looked like a summon though...

"That's what they like to tell us."

"A persona is the mask one wears to hide their true self from the horrors of the mortal world. Those who know how can channel that mask and give it power to protect them or aid their ambitions. I have several, some are gods, others demons but I am a rarity."

She blinks, eyes still twinkling gold.

"If they are the masters, do you know where they are? So that I can petition for a place to stay?"

"You sound pretty important then. All we have in my world are summons. And we have to have certain things to summon powerful monsters that help us when we need it."

That's the easy way to explain it at least.

"They're outside the barrier...you don't have a place to live here yet?

"No, I'm not important at all. Humanity is the important one, I am merely on the outside trying to figure them out. Individual power is nothing next to the shared consciousness."

She nods a bit at the second part.

"I have not been overly concerned, but after the forced unconsciousness the other week, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps sometimes it is best to have a domain that one can call their own."

"Having things like that, and not being important doesn't sound quite right...what do you mean by you're on the outside trying to figure them out?"

Sounds like a creepy watching person.

"Wanna stay with me? I'm all alone with I think four empty rooms. Or just 'till you find a different place."

She helped her, so why not help back? Most of her anger is gone anyway. That thing was quite possibly the neatest thing she's seen for a while.

"I am not human. I was created to aid humanity in its struggles to keep the forces of law and chaos from running amok, but I am just an avatar. Not quite a doll, as I have free will, but I am the only one of my family that has realized that. Oh. I am Elizabeth."

She bows.

"Are you certain that my taking a room will not cause these Malnoso grief, though it is rude to turn away kindness."

She ponders, looking somewhat lost, then paps her fist into her hand.

"Yes. I would be honored to stay in a spare room of yours!"

"That's a pretty interesting job. I almost have the same kinda job. Helped save the world once, and now making sure to keep any baddies from roaming around. And my name is Yuffie Kisaragi."

"The Malnosso have no say in where we live. I live in the first big community building, fifth floor, number twenty-four."

"Odd for a master to have so little control over their domain. Still, with what I have seen here, they do not seem to be terribly competent."

She shakes her head in distaste then nods.

"I have aided two souls in saving the world. When I left, I left with the much smaller goal of saving one of those souls from the world they saved, but this place has delayed me."

"Yeah, but the experiments that happen here are all on them. And they get weird."

She hasn't had to go through a fun one yet though.

"Well, you don't have to worry about what's happening back home. Time has stopped back home, so when we leave, it's like we never left home."

"Oh, I had no timeline. I honestly did not even really have a starting point. I have to understand humanity before I can figure out how to save a soul from humanity's weaknesses."

She let out a sigh and shook her head.

"So they were the ones who let the spirits take over people here, and fabricated that lie even though the liars said it was done to spite the Malnosso."

"No...timeline?"

Well that's a new one.

"I'm guessing I missed an experiment, but yeah. They can do many things here...like make a never ending bunch of idiots slip on ice until it melted."

Yeah. She had fun with that one.

"The soul I seek to save is all ready dead. I do not believe he will get any deader or less dead. That is the one benefit of working for and with intangibles."

"True...can't be any more dead than...dead...unless it's a zombie, but I don't think that counts."

"A zombie is merely an animated body, things like that are easily created and destroyed. No, I am after a soul. After all, if one sacrifices their life for the world, it is not fair they should spend eternity as a wall to keep the beasts humanity creates with its mind at bay."

"Yeah that would seem a bit rude. All souls in my world go to the same place, so it's not something we ever have to worry about."

"Most go to the same place in mine. Those who are very strong however can change the world."

"Makes sense."

In her world, just very random people can manage to save the world.
