8 Materia ஃ Action / Voice

[Yuffie has been quite bored for some time now. With no one from her world to pick on talk to just about everything isn't as fun. She would give up some of her materia (the unimportant ones) to have someone from her world. Even a baddie would be great. She could finally ask someone to give her a better way to explain materia and...well, everything else on Gaia. Yuffie is just horrible at explaining how materia is made. All she ever cared about was obtaining it.

Now a Yuffie that has been pretty bored over some time has managed to figure something to do. Early this morning she set up a long line of balloons, leading to many different paths though town, or through the woods, and more importantly, within each path of balloons, there is one missing. A poof of color is in it's place! Why? Well, there's no obvious reason.

The balloons look completely innocent, innocent enough that it looks like they're just being held there like a string. That is, until they are touched, picked up, or moved in any sort of way, then they explode into a large cloud of color. (Be thankful it comes off pretty easily. Just gotta dust it off!) But it was still a pretty good poof.

But since she layed so many balloons down, Yuffie is always on the move. So she can be caught laughing quietly at the poofed person, or be found hopping from tree to tree. It's obvious she has energy to spare on a day like this.]



[Voice] Later in the day.

I know a lot of people use magic here, not including the spirits here, and there's one thing I've noticed that hasn't been asked. Or maybe it was and I wasn't paying attention, but still...Who here has magic from their home, and can teach people how to use it here? Even if that means wearing some kinda thing that let's you use it. Like I know mine can be used with or without a weapon!

If people are up for it, I think that could be one interesting day....hoping no one explodes...

Just...magic? Like creating ice out of no where, or having lightning strike a target.

It's actually easier to show than explain.

[ Suddenly, there's a ball of bright white lightning sparking in Kakashi's hand, sending blue tendrils of electricity everywhere. ]

Well that's impressive...yeah, that can be called magic.

[ura_no_ura]

Ah, we call that ninjutsu in my world.

[voice]

And you know yours is applicable to people from different worlds?

I'm pretty sure. At the very least they'll have to put it on one of the bracelets I've found for them.

[voice]

[godbent]

If you're positive, then we're going to have to test that!

That was the point.

[Whelp, rather than respond to her friend's voice message, she just goes Yuffie-Hunting. The girl's pretty good at covering her trail, but the string of balloons and colored dust and dismayed people gives her an idea of where to look. Eventually, she'll come across her, having to actually sniff her out.]

You've been up to no good, haven't you?

[Aw, busted. Yuffie will just hang upside down from the tree she's in, with her best 'I'm innocent' look.]

Now why would you think that?

[Saori gives her a cheeky grin in response]

Because I saw the trail of balloons and chaos. And I know that look on your face.

[Action]

[That earns a frown.]

For all you know someone else could've done it, and I was just watching.

I can use magic. I don't know if you can learn it if you're not a unicorn. I'm certainly willing to try helping you if you'd like!

...What kind of magic does a unicorn have?

... Unicorn magic. I'm not sure what else to call it. Back where I'm from, we just call it magic. Do you have a horn?

[materiathief]

Nope, I have a flat forehead.

Well, I was born without magic, and I picked it up without too much trouble. I think those spells could get passed on to others here. I'm just not qualified to try something like that, since I'm just an apprentice.

So you randomly learn magic?

It's not really random. The spells get passed onto us, and then we've gotta work out the kinks. Kinda like getting handed a new sword, just flashier.

Is there any limit to how much magic you can use and learn?

[Action]

[... huh. That's odd. What are all of those balloons doing there? His first thought is that it's for somebody's birthday party or something like that, but given the absence of any other signs or decorations (and the strange location), that seems a little unlikely.

Curious, he reaches out for the string of one of them to see if there's anything written on it or any sort of tag attached that might provide a clue...]

[Oh he'll find a clue...said clue being a poof of a nice bright green powder right at him.

Though Yuffie does see this, she won't let out a single sound from her spot up in the tree. She has to know how he'll react to this before giving herself away.]

[Action]

[He reacts by letting out a startled sound and waving his hands around in a frantic attempt to disperse that green powder before it gets all over him. It's a nice try, but it... doesn't really work, and a good amount of it ends up in his hair.

At least he can't see it without a mirror?]

[Action]

[Yuffie gets all her laughing from that reaction in the tree, so she can almost look innocent as she jumps to the ground, a few feet away from Emil.]

You look good in green! [Because backwards your name is lime, and those are green.]
